While the cat’s away…
So my parents have been out of town this past week. They took my little brothers and sister to Florida to visit with some of my step-mom’s family. I opted to stay at home and “work” (even though I only worked like 3 of the 8 days that they were gone) and to take care of the house. Things ended up working out perfectly and my “BBQ” I had on Wednesday went off without a hitch. Well, at least I think it did. A friend of a friend at work said that there is a possibility that my grandma drove by and saw a crap load of cars at my house, but she hasn’t said anything to me in person…so we’re just going to wait and see what happens. And if Dad and Lori find out, I’m totally ready to be honest with them and tell them that I did indeed have a party. What’s the worst that could happen?
Nathaniel and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary last Monday. And as cheesy as it may sound, he named a star after me and I LOVE it! As soon as we get the time and a clear night, we’re going to get the telescope out and find my star.
That’s about it. I’m serving at Logan’s now. Wha-hoo, I got moved up. It’s not really that great, but it’s something different. I’m thinking that once school starts back and I get my job at the University, I might go looking for something outside of the restaruant world…I love the people at Logan’s, but I’m just getting burned out on it.
Lauren might be getting deployed in September. I’m not exactly thrilled about my friend having to go to Iraq, but nothing is for sure right now. We’ve pretty much decided to make this summer the best that we can and party hard, just in case she does have to leave. And if she gets to stay, then we still had a kick ass summer!
I had a lot of fun on Wednesday, especially since Danielle and Whitney were here. There’s just sometihng about lying in the middle of your kitchen floor slap-ass drunk with two of your closest friends. Even if my parents do find out and I end up being in a shit load of trouble, it would have been worth it. Every single last minute…
im a little teary eyed right now. when you said “there is nothing like lying on the kitchen floor…with your two closest friends” you were right. there is nothing that can replace that. no matter what, even though things change, you’re still one of my closet friends. remember that.
