Necroflowers

My flowers have bloomed and wilted,

Bloomed and wilted some more,

Over and over and over again,

Until my thorns are sore.

Now they’re craving sunlight,

But I shan’t give them a ray,

Now they’re craving water,

But in it, I will play,

Petals falling to the ground,

Never again shall they bloom,

The stems drop and rot away,

As the leaves die too,

But the thorns stay strong,

In the midst of decay,

Though one can still get hurt,

If they like it that way.
