My Short Reply

I’m too tired to say too much, but I will comment on what Circe said:

“France and Germany stepped in because the reasons for going to war were invalid.  America responds:  “Hey, we helped you out in the 1940ies.”

Then she said something about how American’s always come late to every war.  I would just like to say that in every war just about, the US was wanted to be involved.  We’re always tugged at to be pulled into wars.  Just like when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor to bring us into the war, and that was the only reason, in my views anyways.  We don’t have to be involved at all in the first place, now do we, if we hadn’t of come France may not exixt today as we know it, now would they, honestly, NO!  We are the reason they are still a friggin country anymore, and no one can deny that because if you do you truly are my new favorite word-NAIVE!

The only reason Saddam has not been given too much of a human’s right here in the US is because he commited serious crimes against the US with his involvement with Sept. 11th.  But I guess he does deserve a fair trial, but my opinion is to just kill him and get it over with, and I’m Army, and if I were able to go on over there right now to search for Bin Laden and if I found him you can bet your top dollar I’d find someway to bring him back to the states dead, not alive.  But that’s just me, Hell, I wouldn’t mind flying him right over New York and dropping him off right in the middle of Times Square and let the people have their way with him.  But that’s just me, I’m all for an eye for an eye, and if I have say in who get’s punished, it wouldn’t be pretty, but again, that’s just me.

The German’s didn’t want war either because they got their asses kicked in the last war they were involved with.  They don’t want war ever again because they feel so guilty for what happened with Hitler, because they didn’t step up to the plate before he got his reign, I know that to be true, I have many military friends who have been over there and heard that straight from their mouths. 

As for civilian casualties go, it’s near impossible to keep from having civilian casualties in any damn war.  So don’t even try to argue with that, there’s always going to be civilian casualties hecause civilians are stupid, and walk right in the middle of a battle, or just do stupid things.  Almost all the civilian casualties come from Saddam’s army anyways, they went around killing anybody they could just to do so.  So I don’t wanna hear anything there.

And as for you getting “pissed off” I’m getting pissed off myself, and I’m not someone who needs to be pissed off, it’s not a good thing, believe me.  I don’t mind a harmless debate about things, but I just can’t help but get heated when the US is put down all the fuckin time for nothing, because we’re trying to do what’s best for the world, not for us, but for the world, now if it were Clinton, yea it would be what’s best for us, but not with Bush. 

And as far as saying that taking down Saddam is pointless, well that’s just the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, I mean look at it this way, a kid is playing on a beach, and he notices hundreds of sea crabs stuck on the shore, and he’s picking them up one by one and throwing them back in the sea.  A man comes up and asks him why he’s doing that, he can’t save them all, as the boy throws another one back in the sea, he replys, “Well at least I saved that one.”

You can’t say that just because the entire world hasn’t been helped yet that it’s not justified to take down just one tyrant.  It’s a step by step process, it takes time, and it’s better to try and stop it then to just sit around and do nothing, because then we would really be hated, not to mention the guilt for those who do have a heart.
