Sliced myself
Last Sunday I was trying to get some hamburgers going on the grill and I had to pry the frozen patties apart. So I took a big kitchen knife and tried to stick it in between the patties. And of course it slipped out and went right into my other hand.. I made a clean gash of about half an inch, and it was bleeding pretty badly. So I had to get it stitched, and my only option was the emergency room, which is overkill as far as I am concerned. Luckily it was not crowded at 7pm, I was helped right away and was done in less than an hour. It took 4 stitches. The doctor told me that chefs come into the ER all the time with knife cuts. I was lucky that I did not hit any tendons, nerves, bones, etc, it was just a flesh wound. I am such a lucky guy 🙂

Oh geesh, I saw the first sentence of this on the front page, and said out loud, Oh, no, no, don’t do it!! Alas, too late. I did exactly the same thing — frozen burger patties, big knife, blood all over the kitchen, ER visit. But I turned green and fell over when the doctor tried to stitch it, so he just gave me a butterfly bandage and a splint. No permanent damage, just an impressive scar.<br> I think we’re both luckier than we deserve, lol.

I had a similar accident with a cleaver and a fish. My wrist. Luckily it was not deep but the scar is still there. Glad to be back here. Forgot my password. LOL. Thoughts random after leaving the Bar? Always. 😀

Yes, have to agree. I think this electronic age of information is good for the business, but better for the crooks. Fuck homeland security…the world is at risk when the average thief can still my identity in a heart-beat at the tap of the fingers from anywhere and rake up two thousand dollars in my name. Forget about the intelligence here…anyone can get away with anything these days.

ouch! I tend to use a fork or microwave them a few seconds to soften them up first! ryn: Well, I tried last year and it’s now a full 1% less interest than it was then. I’ve got a grand opportunity to save a few hundred bucks/mo. The less I pay to banks the better! And I don’t trust “Chopper Ben” Bernanke to keep rates lows.

I fully agree. It’s just horrible, especially when the school officials see it happening, But stand there & do absolutely nothing about it.
