Howdy. Today’s been quite nice, in the sense that I’ve not really done much but still, it’s better than being at work.
Got up and cleaned the house (and after some harassing finally got Thorpe to pitch in too) and then a couple of guys from the British Heart Foundation turned up to take our old sofas away so we could get the new one into place. We moved the game unit to the inside wall and put the couch straight along the back wall and in front of the inside wall. It’s really big because it’s joined at the corner but it’s lovely too, so comfy. Anyway, then I watched the Grand Prix which Button led from start to finish, woop woop. Impressive crash on the first corner that wiped out Hamilton, Alonso and two others though. Dave and Becky popped round after their roast because they hadn’t seen the house since we’d decorated the bedroom and despite not actually talking to Becky personally it wasn’t as awkward as I’d imagined.
We’ve got pork chops in the slow cooker (did I mention I got reduced goodies a few night ago? Six pork chops for 75p, beef brisket for 90p and three chicken breasts for £1.05. Baaaargain!) marinading in a paprika/garlic/tomato sauce concoction that Thorpe made up. They smell amazing. So we’re having them with mushrooms and onions, mash and green beans. Yummy.
Did the last of my social care TV training earlier as well, so just the last 3 handbooks to go and all my training will be complete. I’m hoping to get my certificate for my TA course through soon too, which reminds me I must go pick up my portfolio!
