A Sight Now Unseen

I see the window opened.
The light still refusing . . .
To warm the flesh on my skin.
The left out feeling I once had
Has now returned ten-fold.
No one to hold my hand,
No smile protruding
From my saddened face.
I don’t know why this happens,
It seems only to me.
The feel that once touched . . .
The hand that I held . . .
The smile that I kissed . . .
Are now just figments
Of my memory. . . .
