Little bit of news.
with Lee getting his new car at the end of this week, we had been looking to change our car as we won’t need the MPV any more.
We were still looking for another automatic as both Dawn and I have left arm problems. We had seen three possibles so went to see them yesterday. The only one that looked "right" was a Peugeot 306, so I went to test drive it today. What a farce! The thing was low on gas so I said I’d just take it round the block. Well, I didn’t even get that far. So I had to walk back to the garage, mechanic took me back with a can of fuel and off we went again. Wasn’t impressed with the car at all. It was really well looked after, all worked OK, but not very quick , in fact quite slow. Our present Vauxhall Meriva was quicker.
Anyway parked next to it was a Nissan Almera that I had missed yesterday when we first looked. So I took that out as well and was well impressed. It’s not as high spec as the Peugeot, or as low mileage but performed much better. So I pick that up on Thursday.
I went to work yesterday as I had to put my time sheet in for July to get my unsocial hours pay. Walking in I felt real anxious/stressed/not happy. Colleagues were understanding. I am the third full-timer to be off on sick leave, 2 of us for the same problem. Maybe management should start paying attention!
Ok I’m outta here, later, folks.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.Ralph Waldo Emerson HugzHarley
So glad about the car but not a bout being sick.
