The third day
That’s what it is. I’ve got a horrible head cold with a fever of 97.3 (yes, you read that right!) and feel 20 kinds of awful.
I am using the patch; just thought I would record that. If you look at the bottom of my diary’s front page, you will see a lovely counter I made at http://www.quitmeter.com (thanks to Ghost Dancer+ for that).
I am going to make it through a reasonable pile of work and then go home and take a bath and put myself to bed. Even though I’m not burning up I feel as though I ought to be.
Just wanted to record that I made it through day 2 and am now in day 3.
Be well, and have a good day.

Catching up and so very proud of your attempt at kicking the cigs. I know all about addictions – mine being food. And of course I wish you luck and strength. You will probably be feelings your lungs rattling as you proceed with the process. I understand that all the cig gunk will loosen up and coughing will be a necessity. Major hugs to you!!!!

Hope you feel better soon. One thing I want to mention is that when I quit I got some pretty nasty pains in my chest… lung area. It lasted about a month. Can’t believe my lungs protested not being polluted with smoke. Keep up the good work. BTW, the odds are on your side. Most successful quitters have tried to quit at least twice before succeeding.

Have a cozy rest. Day three may not be the best as you feel poorly. A few months on will be fantastic. Had a look at the site, very good. Warm hugs

Take yourself home sooner rather than later! Baby yourself, pamper yourself. Take lots of Emergen-C and/or Airborne. Congrats on Day 3! You’re on your way Baby!

Those Patches neither taste very good nor smell too good when lit. But , damn if they didn’t work.

My regular temperature is abnormal too; if I get up to 98.6, I’m definitely sick. 🙂

I am very happy for you. Yes, dear one, quitting smoking is a lot like feeling very sick… for a while… but you’re really on the road to recovery! Think of it as one of Life’s Paradoxes. If you can just hang tough, you’ll never have to do Day 3 again, eh? I’m sending LOTS of good thoughts your way.
