La La, lalalala, Monday, Monday…

So [not] good [for] me. — Can you name that tune?

• Let’s do bullets and smilies today. 
• Let’s see…this is the first time in ages that I’ve actually felt the pull to write in here.  Have no idea what’s going to come out, but it’s a start. 
• This morning I was taking a shower and we have this little corner shelf that holds my shampoo and conditioner.  Said shelf is attached to the tile wall via suction cups.  Well!  I went to get my conditioner and the big bottle of shampoo started falling.  I grabbed for that and DAMNITALL the bottle of conditioner fell right on my toe!  WHACK!!  Fack that hurt like hell!  Of course, as we all know if I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no fucking luck at all…so it was the toe I of course have a really bad ingrown toenail on.  DOUBLE WHAMMY! 
• Coco is doing really well.  He’s made himself right at home with us.  I have a new picture of him but my image thingie doesn’t want to cooperate this morning. 

  The pet food recall has not left my house untouched.  Of course not.  I normally do not feed wet food.  However, sure enough when Coco came to stay with me he didn’t want to touch the dry only.  So the next day after receiving him I went to get him, you guessed it, those recalled wet food packages!  NONE of the dogs are showing any signs of being ill, but you know me.  I am bringing Coco in this afternoon for some precautionary blood work after talking with my vet since he ate most of the recalled food.  Today was the earliest I could get him in.  My vet said she’s astonished at the number of sick animals that are being brought in and just how quickly and severly the damage to these animals kidneys is.  V. sad stuff.  I hope Menu Foods gets hit with so many lawsuits they are put out of business!  Any way, keep your fingers crossed for us.  Vet said even if he isn’t showing any signs of being ill he could still be sick.  Gah!!! 

  I’m so flipping angry at this whole ordeal!  SO mad that these wankers knew about this in December 2006 and yet we, the consumer didn’t know about it until March 2007!!!  That’s 3 full months of this being hid from us – 3 full months when consumers could have stopped feeding their pets this tainted food!  3 full months when some animals could have been prevented from becoming sick!  Bah!  Money hungry corporate shit-stains strike again! 

  I have a homecheck to do on Sunday for Coco.  I hope it works out as she sounds completely ideal!  She’s a dog walker and has already asked me if she adopts Coco could I take him for 2 weeks in September while she’s in Europe!  She also understands I do keep in touch with all my former fosters and I will expect to be able to do the same with Coco.  She said no problem.  While I am growing quite attached to the little guy, he will be better in someone else’s hands because he really does require a lot of attention.  With 4 of my own it’s hard to give him the attention he craves so much and there are starting to be issues amongst all of them because of jealousy.  🙁 

  Besides that?  I just really do not need 5 dogs!  4 is QUITE enough!  My grooming bill with 4 of them is already near $200.00!  Let’s not even discuss vet bills. 

• Brian is coming along.  He’s now got 45% ROM in his left knee.  We need to get it up to 90%.  His therapist said he’s probably not going to be released back to work until at least the end of this summer!  Furthermore, if we can’t get his ROM to the 90% mark?  Guess what?  That means they will have to go back in via surgery and clean out some more scar tissue.  Blech!  But hopefully we’ll get a good luck stretch and he’ll continue to get there via PT only.
