Working on a fence…

Today was a bit of an exhausting day, but in the end it was very, very productive. My neighbor needed my help, putting up a fence to block off access to his backyard. Since his backyard is beside my backyard, I’m all for restricting access since I don’t want people to have that kind of access to my property as well. So I spent the majority of today helping my neighbors put up a gate/fence that will keep people out. It took us the majority of the day to get it up. While there is still a little work left, we did all right. We had a sweet lunch too and I managed to chip in by making a noodle salad, with cheese and a few peppers. It was a big hit, as was the day. Here are a few pictures my brother took while we were working on it. Hope everyone had a good weekend and I’ll be around.

(I can’t help it… it’s hammer time!)

(Get in there you little bugger!)

(All that work for this… one down so many to go!)

(This is what it looked half finished. One gate to go…)

(But first, some lunch. Salads and Chicken…)

(Back to work, working on Gate #2)

(This is the finished product. Pretty sweet, eh?)

Yay for fence building! 🙂 Good job.

There’s something so wonderful with the feeling of physical tiredness at the end of a hard day’s work, no?

I just wanted to let you know that you got me completely hooked on Robot Chicken with those videos you posted during Blogathon. I can’t get enough of it. Pretty funny stuff.

Reminds me of the fence we built in New Denver (nr Slocan Lake in the Kootenays of BC) the night before younger son was born.
