My name is Peter, and this is my Diary, back from internet limbo. I'm going on 45, divorced, and with three kids that I am super proud of. I'm a writer, so entries will be fast and furious when the fingers are in a mood. I write comic books, novels, and poetry... so there will be no shortage of material here. I have been a member of OD since June of 2000, and am a lifetime member, so I'm glad to be back... and so glad to see OD is back as well.

Catch you on the flip side,

Peter

It's almost been two months since my father passed away, and I'm sad to say that life moves on. I hadn't spent any meaningful time with my old man in years, so I kind of was already prepared for what was to come. My brothers and my step family are all taking the hit ten…

I am quite saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I am grateful for Her Majesty's 70 years of service and remarkable dedication to our Commonwealth throughout her grace's very historic reign. I had the pleasure to see her majesty twice when visiting Canada, both times ...

My father passed away today... and while I haven't talked to the man in years, his passing still hits me in the feels. While a part of me missed the opportunities we both missed over the years, I'm not sorry for how things ended between us. I would never apologize for standing up for my…

If feels like yesterday that I was posting an entry to introduce OD to my first daughter, but that was three years ago! My sweet little Kit Kat turned three in June, and all I can do is ask where did all this time go? For her birthday this year, Ethan and I took Kat…

No, this will not be an entry about a classic movie starring Dustin Hoffman. This entry is going to be about the passage of time and how fast it can pass you by if you're not careful to look around and enjoy the view while you can. Over eighteen and a half years ago, I…

    For my mother…
    April 26, 2022
When I was younger, and too young to be aware that times were tough, my mother used what scraps we had in the fridge to prepare our supper. We were living from cheque to cheque back then and were less than two days from payday so Mom did whatever she could with whatever was available.…

I'll be the first to admit there is a time and place for heads to come together and to work out your differences. Air your grievances and give your adversary a chance to counter it and come to a compromise. I've taken this route many times, and that most of the time is the best…

I’m going to be up front from the start: I have trust issues. I have really serious trust issues. I have so little trust/faith in humanity that I actually look both ways before crossing a one way street. So, when it comes to showing trust and/or faith in a person or institution, I do not…

The new year is off to a rather familiar start. More lock downs, my team gets the shaft in the playoffs and snowflakes are still whining like someone shot their damn dog. More things change the more they clearly stay the same. I don't know about you guys, but I hate reruns. I don't want…
