My name is Peter, and this is my Diary, back from internet limbo. I'm going on 42, divorced and with a few kids that I am super proud of. I'm a writer, so entries will be fast and furious when the fingers are in a mood. I write comic books, novels, and poetry... so there will be no shortage of material here. I have been a member of OD since June of 2000, and am a lifetime member, so I'm glad to be back... and so glad to see OD is back as well.

Catch you on the flip side,

Peter

Taking the kids to the park…

July 31, 2019
I've been rather busy the last few weeks. I've been helping my ex watch the boys. For the first week, I watched them at her place cause she wanted the boys to settle back in before taking a trip to my place. I get it, and agree that was important. And this week the boys…

Alright, time for an update... Date #2 was pretty awesome. Rather than shell out big bucks on a fancy place, which is what we did last time... she asked if we could pick up some kibobs at the grocery store and just BBQ up something and have a salad with it. I’m all for something home…

  • I’ve met someone…
    July 12, 2019
Last Friday I went on a date. I met a very nice woman at a downtown pub that I used to do stand up at many years ago. I had been communicating with this person online for a few weeks, getting to know her. The kids had just left for their three week trip to…

  • Kindness still exists…

I have a good one to share. One day a while back, I walked to my local grocery store to pick up food for the boy's weekend. When I got to the grocery store, it was then that I had realized that I didn't have a quarter to unlock a cart to shop with. I…

  • Now that hurt…

I'm going to keep this brief: a pulmonary biopsy sucks. I didn't expect the procedure to be as meticulous, and as painful, as it was this morning. Around 9-ish this morn, which is way earlier than I usually wake up, I had a CT guided biopsy of my right lung, and for five hours afterwards…

Ethan finished school a few days earlier than his brother, and my ex asked if I could take him for a few days, and I was like sure... no problem! Little did she know, I was going to ask her if I could steal him away for Thursday night, so it worked out perfect for…

  • Under the knife?
    June 10, 2019
I'm 43 years old, and for whatever reason I've managed to avoid having any surgeries so far. There's a fairly high chance that streak might be coming to an end, possibly this month or the next. I've been taking CT scans of my chest for a few years now every six months as a precaution…

  • May is with us… already?
    May 15, 2019
Well, despite a few tries... I didn't post anything in April, and now it's May. Yes, May! This year is already almost half over!! Ethan and I saw Avengers Endgame a few weeks ago, and while it's not the most brilliant film, and is just popcorn action... it was a pretty good movie. We all…

I got some bad news from the my Dad regarding the new family he married into. One of my new cousins was in the middle of a bad break up. She had been married and had two kids with this man. I heard about their separation a few months ago and I was quite…

  • Spring break and other stuff…
    March 27, 2019
I took the boys for Spring Break, which is what I do every year. Leah usually works during holidays, and I volunteer to watch them to save her child care costs and gives me quality time with my boys. We saw a movie (How to Train Your Dragon 3), hit the park a few times,…
