Please don’t die OD!
Last night I wrote a very beautiful entry complete with pictures.
It did the usual error when I went to save it that I have gotten for ages now. Then I couldn’t get on here for anything.
Finally was able to get on just now, no notes, how sad. But if the entry isn’t there, how could I get notes on it?
How very sad.
So anyway, most of the time it isn’t even letting me see my bookmarks. So I am not ignoring you. Then when I try to leave a note I am given fits. Who knows. I just hope OD doesn’t die.
Now let’s see if this saves!

I don’t know why someone doesn’t take over OD. Where is the diary master? Shouldn’t he feel a sense of responsibility to let us know what is happening?

Random reader. Saw you on the Front Page. I had the EXACT same experience last night. 🙁 I’ve also been having the same problem with not being able to access bookmarks. It’s very frustrating. I really hope the site isn’t about to gasp its last breath.

hear, hear…hang on OD. I waited about 4 minutes for it to navigate here to leave this note. How many people are willing to do that? Luckily I can edit photos while I sit here. Not sure if I should try to leave an entry.

Oh no, that is sad 🙁 I had no clue you’d posted. I thought maybe you had a really busy day and I’d hear from you later (I can’t remember, did I email you too? Maybe I only meant to.) I’ve seen on FB and on here, people saying they could only get online from a device already logged in, otherwise not at all last night.

It has been terrible! In fact I think it started for other people before it did for me. It was working OK for me for a while before it got super slow, I had already noticed that no one on my list had updated, and the notes had dropped right off too. When I posted my entry yesterday I got the error message too (which was the first time for me), but then realised the entry had posted anyway… twice. It took me forever to delete the extra entry. I was ready to tear my hair out. RYN – thank you. I’ve probably said this before, but I still feel so grateful to you because you encouraged me when I was full of doubt, and you helped me believe that I could do it. You said “why not” and yeah, why not? 😀 I am doing it and I am doing it well. Now I hope this note saves…

I finally have been receiving the errors that you have for some time. First I got the error to call the help desk .. and last night I got a different error saying that OD was out of disk space. Being into computers for 16 years like I have been .. I know that being out of space is a very very serious problem. One that will not go away and needs some attention. I hope that it comes back to life.

I’m glad you mentioned the fact that OD has been having issues because it took me forever to post last night and I thought it was just my dumb computer. Then this morning there were no notes and I thought that was rather odd, because I usually get at least ONE note. I’m glad to know that it’s because OD is being a pain and not because people got tired of me! But yeah – I wish this site would workbetter!!

The DM is useless,if you need help or report something then EWS is the way to go…Every time I need something he is right on it…He told me OD is not going to die it’s got a server for the next 10+ years but I do agree it needs an update….

RYN: I don’t know what an IM is ? So really I cannot answer you on this one. I have found a program that seems to be a good one and guess I will use it and hope that my typing gets better. I did typing in grade 10 but I cracked my wrist and was in a cast. So I had to sit in class anyways. I just couldn’t do it anyways .. as we used manual typewriters and omfg they were hell. RYN: I do know about that IM. Haven’t done that for several years. Don’t really miss it. Re your OD issues .. if you have problems .. I would press your F5 key on your keyboard. Eventually you will have success .. just OD being grumpy. I haven’t been having OD issues for about the last day, (but it has been slower than normal). Overall it hasn’t been too bad. I’ve just joined ProseBox as a back-up cos I got a bit of a scare the other day too. I got the error 500, which obliterated a blog I once had on WordPress. I don’t trust the error 500 at all.

RYN: I don’t know why people are so panicked about OD. Its performance issues are not unusual for people that have been here for more than a few months. I am going to be here til it dies and I am happy that you are not going anywhere as well. I think it is a great place. Anyways .. hope you have a good weekend. Take care.

RYN: Don’t worry .. I came to my senses and they are no longer pierced. They were very painful to have pierced .. so I don’t recommend it to anyone. But sometimes people just have to do crazy things. Hope eventually you can make an entry. I haven’t been having problems lately .. so I am happy about that. Take care.
