Hopes for 2018

That we live in “Interesting Times” is a given.  The world is more polarized than ever, and the centrist/moderate point of view seems to be an endangered species.  This is not necessarily a bad thing, as history has repeatedly shown us that chaos and upheaval are the driving forces behind societal evolution.  Sometimes you need to burn something to the ground and start fresh, regardless of the body count.  I use President Trump as an example of this.  While he has his faults (and what politician doesn’t), his first year has shown a stronger stock market and lower unemployment than the US has seen in 18 years.  As President Coolidge said, “The business of America is business.”

Hopefully in 2018 Trump will put a swift (and permanent) end to North Korea.  If the dog-eaters of South Korea are collateral damage, so much the better.  The permanently Butt-Hurt Snowflakes will continue to gnash teeth, moan and wear vagina hats, but their form of mental illness is just background noise from a sub-group of professional victims that has never accomplished anything.

And speaking of failures, let’s hope the biggest one the US has ever produced finally decides to put herself (and everyone else) out of her misery…

Delighted to find you again…..and delighted to read this! I have been a reader at Prosebox for the past 4 years until this week when it went offline. Not sure of the issues there, but it’s promised to fix the problems.
