4 years later…

A short-list of topics that will be covered when I don’t have to go to work in 45 minutes:

  1. I went back to college for Physics and am 70% done with my degree.
  2. My sister died from cancer and my dad had a stroke in 2016. I’m still healing, and helping my family to heal too.
  3. I became self-employed and even though I’m still broke, it’s not nearly as bad as it was.
  4. I’m getting married to a very fine man 1 September 2018. We met (get ready for it) on Instagram.
  5. I got my official ADHD diagnosis this year and am now learning how to manage my life through therapy.

The long entry about my new milieu will come shortly.

Welcome to the new Open Diary!  I’m very, very sorry for the loss of your sister and father.  During the past four years, I’ve lost my sister (cancer) and father (cancer) too.  It’s hard to lose two family members in such a short amount of time isn’t it.  Again, Welcome back to Open Diary.

@wildrose_2 Thank you for your welcome and condolences. My father, though brain damaged, is still with us, but it was super harrowing. I’m so sorry to hear about your father and sister too. Much love and welcome back to OD

It is good to reconnect with you and congrats on the upcoming nuptials.  I do most of my writing on Prosebox these days and will likely continue that trend for the foreseeable future.

@nash Thanks so much, on both counts! It’s good to see your stories again. I take it Prosebox is where everyone was at while OD was down. I’ll visit you there too.

I’m so sorry about your sister… I couldn’t imagine such grief. Recovery/adjustment happens I guess, but it must be one of the slowest-healing wounds.

Many congrats on your engagement, and nearing completion of your degree! (I did actually quite enjoy physics in high school).
