quick recap…
okay… so i just wanted to write out about last night.
i went to the game, i sang, people cheered (not sure why…) and that was that…
okay okay… there was more than that.
so, my dad, my sister and her bf were allowed to come onto the field with me (which was fun). so we walk out there, and boom, there’s Tom Skerrit standing by a few other people just hanging out (i looked like… i think he’s a big mariners fan. i know he lives here in WA, and its not the first time i’ve seen him…)
but anyway, so then the most amazingly beautiful girl named marcie (i think) came and said, "ready?" i smiled and nodded. we walked to the part just behind home plate, she placed the microphone out, and the big annoucer guy said that i was an upcoming young tenor with.. blah blah blah, then pronouced my name correctly (which was nice) and boom i was off to the races!
its kind of funny. the first thing that happened was i realised very quickly that the sound people were hearing was about 1 second and a half (if not more) behind what i was actually singing. which at first freaked me out. almost messed me up.
but anyway, so i sang and finished. YAY! 🙂
i get done and walk over to my dad and my dad says, "that was great! but i think you repeated a few words… i might be the only one that noticed though…" and of course i go back and sing it through in my head, and sure enough, he was right… i repeated one line. oh well…
so anyway, marcie (yeah, i think that was her name) begins leading us off the field and i see Tom Skerrit…
for those of you going, "who the hell is Tom Skerritt, check out his IMDB page here….. Tom Skerritt
… and he’s smiling and walking toward me. he sticks out his hand and says, "Beautifuly sung. That was great!" to which i take his hand, in utter disbelief and say, "i love your stuff!"
yes… i AM a moron. lol
anyway, he says then to me, "well, i love your stuff and hope to hear more of it soon." which, was then when i relaxed and had a few words with him, before marcie smiled at me and we walked off the field.
so yes, that was how i met Tom Skerritt.
– noah
p.s. also, this morning i got up and looked to find i had a message from the first girl i ever loved on MySpace.com saying that she was at the game and that i was the biggest stud! lol
You are so lucky!!!!!! I LOVE Tom Skerritt!

Yay! If only I had known to watch for it. I don’t watch sports (or television, for that matter) and so I missed it completely. Damnit. Oh, well. I’m sure you did absolutely smashing.
