A little of this…a little of that

The day before yesterday my son sent me a message out of the blue. He does this sometimes and it means alot to me. 

I don’t know if you could read that or not but it says…”Love you mama, thank you for everything you do. Wish I could show you better appreciation than you see. Sorry I didn’t go the route you wanted to see me go in life but I’ll always be by your side no matter what and I’ll never forget everything you did for us growing up.”

He brought tears to my eyes. It means more than he knows to get these sentiments. I know I am and have been a good mom. I don’t ever doubt that because I made it my mission to always show my kids I love them and that they always come first. 

Today while sitting with my mom I was thinking about her diffuser and what I want different with mine so I started shopping on Amazon. My mom’s had the option to run at the most 6 hours. And it’s for a small/ med size room. I want one that runs longer and is for a larger space. I found one I liked alot and couldn’t help myself and just ordered it for myself rather than wait till Christmas to see if one of my kids get me one. Mine will run 12hrs and is for a large room which will work with my open area living room, dining room, kitchen area. I also ordered some Cozy Home scents that have Apple pie, Brown Sugar, Coffee Cake, Leather, Cafe Mocha, and Hot Chocolate. I wasnt lots of other scents too so I told my daughter if she insists on getting me something to look into the fresh scents like cotton, rainstorm,  fresh linen… those kinds or to just get me an Amazon gift card to pick my own. 

Last night I took my son some pork roast, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes to work. He also gave me my plate and other containers washed and everything. I was happy to see he didn’t lose them. He still has one with more chili in it that I’ll get later. 

Tonight I’m making the Chicken Fried Rice that I made a couple months ago. It is so so good! It’s one of the things that I will reheat and eat leftover. 

I watched all of The Haunting of Hill House and now am on The Haunting of Bly Manor. So far this one isn’t nearly as good. I’ll give it more time but I’m not thrilled so far. I don’t have much else I have to do today but watch TV til I make dinner.

The whiskey was delivered today in perfect condition. The airplane bottles that were an added gift turned out to be several bottles of Fireball Whiskey. Now that I like! I’ll keep those for myself. I may not drink hardly at all but a shot or 2 of that one in awhile will be fine. It did turn out that when I did the search for the whiskey online to see where I could go to purchase it, it was wrong. It said nowhere in state thus why I ordered it. My daughter had mentioned that her boyfriend had to order a whiskey or 2 so I figured this one was one of them… nope. My daughter said she bought it last nearby in a grocery store. So I could have gotten it there and paid alot less. I guess you can’t always trust what you read online, huh? Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. Not gonna get upset over it. 

I guess that’s it for today. It’s another very warm day but starting tomorrow it’s going to be cold at least for the next week. I’m going to go relax and enjoy my peaceful day. I hope everyone else enjoys their day as well.
