What a day!
Dear Support Team,
My name is *daina*, and I’m writing to provide a detailed account of the events surrounding a recent booking inquiry and to respectfully request your support in protecting both my payment and professional rating on your platform.
On April 19, 2025, I was contacted by a potential client regarding a performance for her son’s graduation (Gig ID: 4838845). At the time of booking, the client informed me she would send the address and confirmed arrival time the day before the event because she was not sure if the event was going to still begin at 5pm. While she tentatively mentioned a 5 PM start, no specific arrival time or address was provided up to that point.
The next contact I had with the client was the day before the event, via text, in which she asked for a song list. I responded promptly and let her know when the requested information would be sent. Her reply, “no worries,” seemed to indicate all was in order. I’ve attached a screenshot of this exchange for reference.
Later that day, I called her to confirm details and left a voicemail requesting the address and arrival time. When I did not receive a response, I followed up with additional calls and also reached out via email to the angency explaining the situation and my inability to contact her.
Eventually, the client texted me asking where I was. This was extremely confusing, as I had been actively trying to reach her. In that same message, she finally sent the address—36 minutes after 5pm. I immediately informed her I was on my way and shared my estimated arrival time, based on MapQuest directions. She insisted I arrive sooner, which was unreasonable given that I had only just received the address.
When I called to confirm my estimated arrival, she answered the phone yelling and issuing threats. She stated she would leave negative feedback and demand a refund. Her reaction was highly upsetting and ignored the multiple efforts I had made to reach her in advance. Her tone was so aggressive that I feared for my safety and decided it was best not to proceed with the engagement.
This experience caused me significant stress and financial loss. I turned down other higher-paying opportunities, invested in a new performance outfit, took vocal lessons in preparation, and even purchased a graduation gift for her son.
I have always maintained a perfect rating on The Bash and take pride in my professional conduct. I kindly ask that:
- My payment not be refunded.
- The client not be allowed to leave negative feedback on my profile.
- Consideration be given to my documentation, including voicemails, call logs, and text exchanges, which I am happy to provide upon request.
