Beautiful

Today marks two months since Jasmine and I met. We’ve spent the past few weeks talking non-stop on yahoo, through texting and on the phone. We both have webcams, so we’ve been “seeing” each other every day for hours. Our friendship has developed to the point where we cannot wait to see each other in person. We really want to see how well we click in person before becoming official. I have not felt this way about anyone in a long time, and the feeling is mutual. She doesn’t play games when it comes to dating. That’s a major turn on for me.

When Ana found out I wanted to visit Jasmine, she immediately chimed in and wanted to go herself. Ana and Jasmine are like sisters, but they haven’t been able to meet. So, Ana came up with the idea of driving from Georgia to Texas to see Jasmine on Memorial Day Weekend. It’s about a 13-hour drive from my house, so I would be driving along with Ana and her boyfriend, David.

One thing led to another, and we ended up settling on Jasmine flying from Texas to Georgia that same weekend :-). Ana and I agreed to pay for Jasmine’s ticket, and she would stay here for about a week. That was until her parents decided they didn’t want her to fly here. Jasmine had problems with her vision in the past and had a no-flying ban placed as a result. According to her doctor, she’s free to fly now; her parents still feel she’s unfit to fly. As a result, they completely nixed the idea of her coming here.

Ana, Jasmine and I spent all of Sunday coming up with an alternative way for her to come here. There is far more to do here than it is where she lives. Plus, her parents are conservative and wouldn’t want her to do anything. We’re still hoping Jasmine will be able to come here that weekend. We’re both going crazy for one another. We have to hold back a lot of our feelings. We’ve established guidelines when we’re on cam, for instance.

Both of our friends have given us a lot of support and love. The first night we actually talked on IM, that conversation lasted three hours. It’s crazy to think of how much we’ve bonded over the past two months, and it doesn’t even see like it’s been two months.

Moving on.

My weekend was okay. Friday was payday, so I treated my supervisor out to lunch. Every other Friday, he’ll buy lunch for Javon and I as a token of appreciation. When we were at our old store, our manager never did anything to show her appreciation. She would always give us backhanded compliments or would never acknowledge we were doing a good job. We were the backbone of that store especially when it was closing down. Just today, our supervisor treated us to pizza. It’s amazing being able to work for someone who cares about his employees.

Our acting store manager, on the other hand, is completely lazy. No one likes him. He’s never around when you need him. My supervisor has to do double work because his manager doesn’t want to do his job. Because the store manager isn’t doing his job, his associates don’t want to do anything either. Every Friday, we receive a truck from our distribution center. Our merchandise comes on the 18-wheelers, so we have a lot of merchandise to put out on the floor. It’s up to the sales associates to put merchandise on the floor. Do they want to do that? Nope. All they want to do is stand around and joke. Keep in the mind the Loss Prevention Team is constantly watching the cameras yet the associates don’t care.

We’re supposed to have the merchandise out of the back and on the shelves as soon as possible. Since the associates don’t do their job, it falls on us to try and put stock on the floor. That puts us behind because we have to do double the work :-(. Talking to them won’t do anything because their manager don’t give a crap. And all they want to do is sale. That’s fine, but at the same time, when there’s downtime, the first thing they should do is help stock the floor. Otherwise, when we receive visitors from corporate, the first thing they want to know is why the merchandise is still sitting in the backroom and not out on the floor. And it’s just like a snowball rolling downhill.

Well, let me get out of here. Jasmine is patiently waiting for me to finish up this entry lol.
