Okay…
Anyone else out there have a mother who tries to convince you to do/take/buy something well after you’ve already agreed?
I went grocery shopping with mine today and we had about 5 or 6 similar conversations like this one…
"Hey, do you want this fruit plate?"
"Okay"
"Then you don’t need to cut up all this other fruit"
"Okay"
"And all the fruit is one container"
"Okay"
"And it’s cheaper"
"OKAY!!"
*looks at me with a raised eyebrow* "What’s your problem?"
"Nothing. Hey, how bout that fruit plate?
My mom’s awesome…but grocery shopping sucks. It seems to bring out the funny in everyone. Or maybe I’m just easily annoyed in a grocery store.
I go grocery shopping at 1am to avoid the lines. Crowded stores bring out the homicidal maniac in me.

Probably a little of both. Grocery stores make me crazy. My mom will do that with clothes shopping. “Do you like this >clothing<?” me: “sure” Mom: “It would look good on you” etc. LoL

i normally shop on my own…or when i’m with others just toss what i want into the basket/cart. sometimes i my dad drives me crazy though by dragging me through the store asking me i want this or need this and he will stay on me until i say that i want whatever it is that he’s asking me about. its how he gets what hes craving without asking for it i think:P

my dad does this to me. not just about grocery shopping though. he does it in almost every possible situation. he gets it from his father. it drives me insane.

omg I KNOW!!! LOl. I can’t handle the stores. I always feel like everyone is out to kill me! They are all running into me with their carts or running over me in their hurry to run over the next guy. Its awful. I hate it. I avoid shopping at all costs.

We haven’t spoken for a while but I thought you might enjoy this. Last night when I got home from the gym, I totally wiped out hard on this perma-black-ice on my driveway. My dad proceeded to tell me he ‘saw it and thought he should salt it’ .. thanks, Pops. Now its all snowy outside. And as I leave to go to work – WHAM – once again, attack of the killer ice. Now I’m waiting for my clothes to dry.
