Teabagging

Cries of socialism.

Warnings of fascism.

Drawing analogies to the Boston Tea Party..

But, I need to ask; do you know for why you protest? Do you know why you’re angry? Do you know why you undermine the importance of such an important event as the Boston Tea Party?

Honestly, I don’t think you do.

Hyped up by entertainment personalities that feed on you for ratings and, ultimately, money. They do not care about you.

But it has worked. Now you protest, I believe, for the sake of protesting. How can you be so fearful of only what you expect to be happening?

You self-professing "everyday people" stand solidly behind St. Santelli, but he was never speaking for you. How could he? He isn’t one of you, he’s got the money. Like his friends. They have you twisted around so much that you’re speaking out against your own self-interest.

None of this was necessary in the last decade? Where were your righteous voices when civil liberties were being tossed out as if they were a dirty napkin? Where were you when blatant misdirection and misinformation was clearly being fed to you like crack to an addict? Why didn’t you rise up in unison when needless war was killing thousands of innocent people? You stayed quiet, complicit even, and deemed anyone unpatriotic if they did speak out.

Now you suddenly have found a conscience? Now you believe that the government is a problem?

You’re 8 years too fucking late and have chosen the wrong cause to champion.

What is that cause? Do you even know? You scream "No" to higher taxes, you yell "This is socialism". Where do you get these slogans? Who is telling you that these higher taxes will affect you? These are the important questions. Questions, it seems, you haven’t bothered to answer.

A 3% increase on those making more money than you could make in your whole life time, and you’re screaming bloody murder? Step back and take a breath, look further than your ideology, and you might be able to see what’s happening.

Those amplifying this so called cause are not your friends, they do not support you. No, you’re supporting them. They’re angry and upset that a rebalancing of fairness takes away their wealth. They’ve been so successful that they have you, "the everyday person" who is broke and unemployed, defending their wealth. They have you disregarding the very real tax cut that you, the everyday man, will get.

How is this possible? How could you let that happen? You breath out the word "socialism" and breath in the word "fascism" without apparently realizing that these two words, and there ideology, are so diametrically opposed to each other that it’s impossible to enact both. How can you be so stupid? Who, tell me, is coming for your property? Who is abolishing the senate, the house? Where do you get this?

And then you have the gall to liken yourself to the Boston Tea Party? Please. That tea "party" was arguable what sparked that glorious revolution that you pride yourself on. Do you really believe that the current government is much like the British colonists of the 18th century? Pick up a fucking book. You are protesting policies that would benefit you, if you would just drop your ideological biases and see what is going on.

See. The elite of your ideological base are bitter and angry. They’ve lost power and have been marginalized. Not because of some totalitarian politician who is taking away their rights, but because their ideas have been weighed and found wanting. They have been rebuked by rationale and logic. Ultimately, by the people.

And now you defend them and their past abuses.

Teabaggers. You have balls on your chin and you don’t even know it.

I was watching (and cracking up over) a video about this last night on the Huffington Post. (see? I follow your advice) What was the name of the anchor you like? The one whose glasses you don’t like? I think it was her video.

HAHAHAHA I CANNOT take this seriously… Apparently 3% is the difference between capitalism and socialism. Effing douche bags. Honestly. I think our founding fathers would be disgusted. ~Rae~

There’s the freedom to speak, and the freedom not to speak. It’s amusing when people who champion the rights afforded to us in the constitution want people to shut up when they disagree. Tomato Tomahto – it’s the same business and it’s been recycled for 233 years. There is nothing new under the sun.

they’re the sheep of the 21st century, where Google is the textbook and fascism is the new capitalism.

ryn: hey! thanks for stopping by with your suggestion. I have actually heard of the resort. i had a friend that went to the one in the bahamas 😉 the list isn’t done yet though! i still have quite a few more things to list! its.. hmm. what is it about these places.. often, people suggest sex clubs for me to go to.. and at one point, i was really interested in doing this.. if i had a partner.. i would consider going to the resort. i don’t know how to explain why yet.. but i’m really not into these types of places.. its just.. these places are for people who want to be free in their sexuality.. who are beginning.. or maybe they are not beginning but its the only place they can feel safe doing it.. and thats not me at all. this is .. my every day life. i don’t kow.. i’m not explaining myself very well.. i’ll have to think about it 😉 while i’m a little freak and i enjoy talking about it.. i like intimacy. with people i know.. but then again! never say never! its not a place i desire to go to in the next 3 years.. but possibly.. one day 🙂

I don’t know how I missed this entry but it snuck past me somehow during all this “no computer” bru-ha-hah… The teabaggers make me cringe. I’m so sure the rest of the world looks at us and just shakes their heads because we’re the retarded second cousin of developed countries. Anyway, happy 4/20.

April 21, 2009

I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t read your entries in such a long time. I’ve been at a loss for real. I look forward to reading (& writing) more in the future. Know of any other websites I could use to post short fiction stories?

April 29, 2009
