You Will Be Missed

Sarah,

I remember that you made me my first "punk" mix tape in grade 10. I haven’t stopped listening yet.

You bought my Doc Martins from me for too much money ’cause I wanted beer for the weekend.

I remember when you tried to see how long you could go without showering. What was is it, 22 days?

You put an Amnesty International sticker on my wheelchair. It was my first sticker on that chair… that eventually became a huge collection. I kept it for 10 years.

I remember that you never gave a shit about what anyone else thought of you or your friends.

You taught me that if you love what you’re doing, don’t ever stop. That if life was taken too seriously, it’d be missed altogether. And that 22 days is way too long without a shower.

What I’m trying to say is that I remember you and always will.
