Maverick Effect (Chapter 11)

His hands shook slightly. The Strad, the bow felt strange in his grasp. His hands touched the strings softly. He took a deep breath and began to play. The song was soft, slow and sweet. But it was an unknown song. It was on no album of his. No single. Not even any of the soundtracks he had done work on. And he meant it to never be. It was his song. He groaned softly to himself as memories flowed into his mind. There was one of them in his arms. He felt so loved. She fit so well against his body. But she had left him. There was another. She called to him softly as he started to drown in his own darkness. He came back slowly to her. He felt her holding him softly, brushing his hair away from his face. The love in her eyes. Yet she had left too. The song flowed on, the strings singing deep and high in various waves of music. There was another, her touch soft and warm. Gentle and loving. He felt so special, so loved. Yet, she had gone too. The tears streamed down his face. The song was almost ended. He felt pain, pain of heart, pain of mind, pain of soul. It all flowed over him in waves of deep blue, like the waves of the ocean in a storm. The song ended and his knees gave way. He started to fall and then Lily was there. She guided him to the bed and there they lay and he wept softly.

Note to the above note…she was talking about a very nasty note that I have since deleted. I found it not very appealing to myself or my readers, so I have thus deleted it.
