YESTERDAY, TODAY AND THE FUTURE-ok

YESTERDAY I took my grandson to the Jazz festival. We went early so luckily found a great parking place. The only problem was that we could only pay for two hour parking so in the end had to rush away. I think we both had enough so it was alright.

At first we watched a special show for children. He wasn’t too excited by it and there was not a lot of music. Then we went to the playground they had and he had a fun time. We had hotdogs and left.

We stopped at McDonalds so he could play and I could read my book. I am reading a very interesting book – NOT ME. It is about a son and his elderly father who has the start of Alzheimers. The father gives him a bunch of journals which talk about him being a Nazi in WWII. At the end of the war he becomes a Jew so he will survive after the war. He "writes" a number on his arm and takes the identity of a dead Jew……..the son of course is confused because he doesn’t know if his father really was a NAZI or is Jewish as he lived his life.

Will finish later as friends are here. We are going shopping in Burlington, Vermont. I am NOT too excited as my money supply is very limited.

Wow that book sounds amazing.

Sounds like a very interesting book. Have fun shopping — I don’t have to have money to enjoy looking at things.

Glad you had fun with your grandson. 2 hours is just about right when you have little ones, they get bored so quickly!

Ryn: No, hubby wouldn’t go with. He’s got to stay home and make money! lol I’m still going back and forth.

That’s nice you got to spend time with your grandson. The book sounds interesting.

I hope that shopping expedition was more fun than you expected it to be! RYN: Yes, I’m enjoying the writing course. I thought it quite expensive: $120 (Australian) for 12 lessons (6 weeks) Local Continuing Education classes are usually about half that.

That book sounds fascinating; think I will probably look it up. Could you post the writer? Such fun to see your grandchild having fun (and being able to read undisturbed…grin)

Shopping isn’t as much fun withouth the $$ to indulge. Sounds like you had a good day with your grandson yesterday. I’d love to go to that jazz festival.
