Australia Visit (P.S.: Photo Heavy)

So, last month (since it is now April) I finally took the opportunity to go to Australia. I had been planning this for about three months, but most of that planning was in actuality just doing paperwork at work because I took a different kind of leave, getting reimbursed for my ticket, etc. so in all actuality, planning was about 20 minutes looking for a hotel (settled on a Holiday Inn) and about 5 minutes to book a flight so I could go forth with said paperwork.

I had no agenda while there. It wasn’t a “live in the moment” kind of adventure, but I had no expectations of what I was going to do. Whichever direction I headed out from the hotel is where I went, and I took photos, and looked around, then went back to the hotel. I’d go out at night a few times, but I wasn’t frequenting any particular ones. I tried, but, everything was spread out more than I had imagined and as friendly as it was, it was still a strange city that I don’t trust to walk home drunk/tipsy and remember where I am going, or to pay attention of what is going on around me.

I saw what I wanted to see. I went where I wanted to go. I wasn’t reliant on anyone. I could do whatever I wanted and just relax if I felt like doing nothing…which I did about 3 or 4 days in total.

Anyway, instead of babbling on about my trip, any more so than I have done already, I’m just going to throw up some of what I feel are my best photos from my trip.

These are gorgeous shots. My favorite is the second one. It’s so tranquil and inviting.
