the begining

That which was will be…

There is a god out there, just not the way we know him. He creates, observes, concludes, destroys and builds again. He is not a compassionate god. He is not a loving god. He is simply looking for answers to his own questions as we are seeking the answers to ours.

We may dance and sing his name, worship and praise him as we will but it all falls on deaf ears. They mean as much to him as our love of food, drink or a beautiful sunset. To him we are flowers and weeds. Flowers to be maintained, weeds to be plucked.

There are rules in his experiments. There are always rules in everything and I believe he measures the success of his experiments by the number of flowers in his garden versus the weeds that were culled. We, as individuals, are granted a longer safer existence if we simply follow the rules. Conversely if there are more weeds in the garden that flowers he will wash the slate clean and begin in short measure, anew.

That which was will be again… and again… and again… until god gets the results he desires whatever they may be. And we scurry about the face of the planet busy in our petty affairs, looking more like insects to him than people. Bits of flimsy data wrapped in meat and water ebbing, flowing, being what we must be until the day we die or are plucked from his garden only to be given the “gift” of life, to start again in this great comedy we call the universe.

That which was will be again…
