Here We Go Again

Quick entry before I head off to get ready for work.  The title of this entry refers to snow.  According to the smart weather people, we’re in an "active weather pattern." For those who have only recently started reading my OD, we got a LOT of snow last winter.  The average snowfall for us is around 48 inches. The record prior to last winter was 76 inches and change.  The record after last winter was 103 inches and change.  As of 6pm last night we were up to 17.1 inches for the winter already (This time last year we were at 25 inches – we finished December with 33 inches – second snowiest December on record).  However we got a few more inches after 6pm last night, so I suspect we’re right around 20 inches.  We’re currently under a winter storm watch for tomorrow night through noon on Friday.  Total for that storm will be 8-13 inches of snow (including some thundersnow – something that REALLY makes our snow totals go up in a storm).  Then 2-4 inches Saturday night and another 2-4 inches on Sunday.   Then more snow on Tuesday, though it’s too early for any kind of numbers.  And apparently this "active weather pattern" isn’t going away anytime soon.
