Farewell Moonlight
I’m behind on DePhoMo again. Shame on me.
Oh well, it’ll get done.
The last few nights have been busy, and tonight will be too. Yay for having a life!
Well. Not much of one. but still.
Tuesday night I was zooming around facebook and one of my buddies made an observation about friends falling apart because of no one having time for one another. So I messaged him and said, "Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen to us!" Another friend got into the commenting on the status message and we all agreed to go out Wednesday.
Work on Wednesday was alright, and when I got off of work, Bob and Kevin were waiting for me at the back of the casino. I went out with them.. we met up with Matt and all went to Izzy’s pizza for dinner. I wasn’t too hungry, but it was just right, I snacked on pizza and the four of us bullshat and talked and joked and the like. And while we were talking I decided that I wanted to do a RIFTs game… well, to be honest, I want to restart the RIFTs game I tried to play with Scott and his friends. So I’m dusting off the old campaign and realize that I don’t have _any_ of my RIFTs books. x.x I ordered another two grab bags from Palladium, and I’m hoping I get at least the core rule book. I mentioned I’d like the core rule book as well as the GM guide and a few more suppliment books that I need for the game. I do have all the PDFs and can run it from the computer, but there’s nothing like the actual hard copies for when you’re running a physical game (as opposed to one over Vent like Matt’s Dead Reign game).
So yeah. That was Wednesday.
Thursday was Employee Appreciation Day… Which meant we got decent food in the EDR. Mom and Catrina came by the casino round 11:30 or so and I had lunch with them, we all got our bonus checks and the ornaments that we got for being employees. The bonus was nice, I got about 500 dollars and Mom got just over. I paid all my bills (except for one, x.x I need to get that paid on Monday when I can deposit my check). Then I went and finished work. After work, Mom and i went shopping and got most of our shopping done. Which is good. We stopped by Big Lots to get a couple things and got wrapping paper and stuff from the dollar store and spent Thursday night wrapping presents.
My sister decided she wanted a SNES for christmas, so I bought that on Ebay (and kicked myself in the ass because a coworker of my mom gave an SNES, along with about 60 games away the week before… oh well). Nothing much of note happened that day.
Last night was a lot of fun. ::grin:: Did the whole work thing and kind of plodded my way through. After work Catrina and her Podling picked me up, and we went and met up with my Momma. Then we went out and finished our shopping. Podling was going to get his ear pierced, so I told him that I’d get mine done too, so I have another piercing in my left ear… three on the left, one on the right. I’m thinking about getting a pair of hoops for my left ear, once I can switch out the earring for a new one, I think a pair of silver hoops in the upper ear would look good.
After shopping we went to Fujiyama’s for dinner… Mmmm… I love that place. It’s a japanese hibatchi steakhouse and it was the first time that Catrina or Podling had ever been to one. It was also 5.00 Long Island night. I was allowed 5 drinks, since this was my celebration for NaNoWriMo and I get 1 drink for every 10,000 words I wrote… I ended up with three long islands and was drunk off my arse. I could still walk (stumbling a little) but I was most definitely intoxicated. I don’t think I did anything too embarassing, Mom hasn’t told me any bad stories, so that was good. I just relaxed and let down that bit of my self that I hold onto so tightly. Podling thinks I was funny, he always does when I drink. I do remember Mom giving me asprin and water and tucking me into bed with all my stuffed animals. ::chuckles:: Yeah, it was an epic night.
Today’s been spent dozing (woke up drunk still x.x) and we got all the Christmas stuff sent out in the mail, so Scott and Aunt Louise will like that, I hope. So yeah. THat was my week so far. Tomorrow I’m hoping to get some editing done and to relax. I’ve been talking to my friend Bonnie for the first time in ages today, and that’s fun. Going to work some on my Fallen Earth and call myself happy.
