but of course…

So, unsurprisingly, no response from the seller’s realtor.

Seriously, would it be that much trouble to come back to us and tell us that they are accepting another offer? Instead they leave us on the hook until 10pm and then don’t even bother with a response. What a complete lack of respect.

Guess we’re moving on.

I’m disappointed. I am. We both are. But we’re not beating ourselved up about it. We went through the process in what seemed like a reasonable manner at the time. You can be sure however, that the next time anyone asks for an extension, that will not be happening. Pretty sure our realtor would be on the same page about that too.

Had a nice chat with S. been a while since we had a good talk. We’re talking trips and travel in the hopes that it once again becomes something we can do. Currently on the table: Mongolia. Seemed like an unappealing choice until I looked it up, now I’m kind of excited about it, but we’d probably have to plan it for 2022 as my vacation days will probably fall towards autumn, which isn’t the best time to go traipsing about Mongolia it appears. He is so ridiculously excited at the idea of once again driving around a country in a jeep like we did in Kenya and Tanzania in 2019. I’m actually interested in the disconnected aspect. Being forced to be off the grid for two weeks or so would probably do me a world of good. Especially after the overdose we’ve been getting from the pandemic.

In the meantime, we are looking for somewhere to go perhaps in the winter, so more southern hemisphere… Papua New Guinea was a suggestion, but the price of the flights is… dissuasive to say the least… Guess we’ll have to see how things go, but it’s nice to have things to dream about.

Off the grid sounds nice!
