Don’t
turn your face away
Come into the sunlight
Let its warmth
wash over you
like a spray of love
I
won’t bring you pain
Let me sit beside you
cupping your chin in my hand
Look at the day with me
and breathe of its joy
Damage
is a shape shifter
It comes in loud explosions
and in a treacherous whisper
It steals our trust
and locks our hearts away
Touch
the love I hold out to you
Feel its light soft texture
that offers nothing but balm
Lean against my love
and let the pain leave
Beautiful…I *really* love your way with words. Another horrid accident, planes falling from the sky. Will we ever feel safe again? Even though it’s mechanical failure, it’s still frightening… Love your work. Thanks for the notes, I appreciate the support.

“Damage is a shape shifter It comes in loud explosions and treacherous whispers” This is a wonderful image, and how to repair the damage to ourselves and each other, that is the question.

I like this one, great words. Actually Paradise isn’t very big, it has a station/convenience store, an elementary school my daughter went to and a day care center and 2 churches. You really don’t know you are there unless you see the store first. I just think it’s so funny that I have a paradise and I have a person who wants to exchange recipes with me from Hell! Would you want to exchange?
Warning Comment
We don’t have to exchange recipes, just cards, you can tell me about yourself a little, we can write letters after that if you want to, I’d just like to have cards from everywhere and all my friends on here. Thanks for the email, I deleted it. JoAnn
