Nothing To Say
But felt like typing.
Let’s see. Oh, I finished my pastoral visitors course last night. How cute we got certificates and everything. Hmmm, I wonder, does that make me a certified pastoral visitor? Okay, not funny. I can’t be funny all the time you know. Now I just wait for my elderly companion assignment. HA! Then it’s so on. I am going to be the best damn pastoral visitor that you’ve ever seen.
Yes, indeed. It’s smiley entry time. Oh, how I love the smileys. Especially when it irritates some of my readers. Hee hee, come on now, everyone needs to be irritated every now and then. Gets the blood pressure moving.
I was irritated ROYALLY today by one of the out-of-office attorneys my boss pimps me too. Now, I adore this particular man, but he does have a tendency to go ON AND ON AND ON. Example: He called me yesterday to ask if I could help him revise a motion I had already done for him (and spent 5 hours doing the last time). He said he had a "few changes" he wanted to make and "it shouldn’t take long." HA!!! He came in at 10:30 AM this morning and left at 3:30 PM. The whole damned motion, memorandum of law and affidavit of counsel was changed. Gah. I had to reel him in a couple times because he’s not very precise. Judge’s hate that. Make it short and sweet. They don’t want to keep reading the same durned sentence over and over again.
I got paid early again this week because attorney #1 is in trial tomorrow. Attorney #2 is also in trial tomorrow AND attorney nos. 3 and 4 will not be in. Oh tomorrow is going to be so exciting. *gags* Another 8-hour day with absolutely nothing to do to fill it. Good thing I got my new shipment of books.
I’ve decided to give the Mitford Series a little rest and interrupt it by reading the new Sue Monk Kidd book, The Mermaid Chair. She’s the author who wrote The Secret Life of Bees and as some of you might remember, I frikken LOVED that book. Hope this one is as good. Then I can go back to reading the 6th, 7th and 8th Mitford books. I visited Jan Karon’s website yesterday for the first time and noted her last book in the Mitford series is going to be released in September. This makes me sad. After that no more beloved Town of Mitford and all of its eccentric, lovable characters. After reading 5 books practically in a row these people feel like home and family to me. So sad to see it end.
Tomorrow night after work I have to find a way to get to my church because Eucharistic Ministering training starts. I think I will take a cab from downtown and then just take a cab home afterwards. Unless someone is going my way…then I might be able to ask for a ride home.
I can’t get to church this Sunday. So sad. Brian has to go in early Saturday and Sunday this week because of early Red Sox games. Damn those Red Sox. Gah!!!
Someone removed me from their favorites list and I realized it today. This is the first time this has happened to me here. At first I felt kinda wounded. For a split second. During that split second of feeling wounded I removed them in retribution. How juvenile, considering my diary isn’t favorite’s only and this person can still read me if they wanted to. Which, they obviously don’t. Then I felt happy. Because truth be told I had long since stopped wanting to read this person and am happy to be removed from their list. Now I don’t have to feel guilty when their little name is bolded on my list because of not wanting to read or note this person anymore.
For someone who had nothing to say…I sure do yammer on and on don’t I?
My stoopid feelings always get hurt when I get removed from a person’s favs list. I’m so childish. LOL

RYN: Uh oh, that is not good. Vellosa (do you read her) had a fav who stole dooce’s content and got in trouble for it. Eek!

Sometimes the typing is good all unto itself.

Every time I go into Target I stare at that Mermaid book and wonder if it would be good or not.asd/f (OMG!! I just crapped my pants!
