RockStar: SuperNova Week 10
Well, Dilana, hmmm — kick her in the ass when she’s down, guys. I guess there won’t be a let up until she’s gone. — Behind Blue Eyes — I liked it. I didn’t love it, but I liked it. Her original song had some moments, but I wasn’t crazy about it. I still like watching her and listening to her, and it was kind of fun to watch her rock on one leg.
Gilby had a little more teasing on one side of his part tonight — it was rather distracting. Jason is right there again with constructive criticism — the only one that counts in my book, with his on target, non-frivolous comments.
Magni — Back in the USSR — Back to non-descript again. Last week he had me believing — now I’m back where I started. His original just wasn’t my cup of tea — although I suppose he did it well.
Storm — Suffragette City — I don’t like when she sings in the lower register — I don’t think it suits her voice. But when she goes higher, it works. Although I didn’t love her rendition of this song. She has great energy on stage, and she’s very comfortable there. I don’t like her original song — for a second I thought she’d go the Portishead route, but nope. I’m finished with her. Over. A thought — she’s very Cabaret, don’t you think?
Lukas — Living on a Prayer — I understand what he wanted to do to this song, and it was an interesting concept, but you need to understand what the hell he’s saying to make it work and most of the time, you can’t. At a concert, that’s when you run to the bathroom, grab a beer and get back to your seat. His hair is really annoying me — he’s like a teenager rebelling by growing his bangs and hiding behind them. His original song needed some body to it. He’s like all style but no concept.
Dilana is watching the gig slip slip slip away and she knows it.
Toby — Mr. Brightside — Well, that’s one of my favorite songs — who doesn’t love the Killers? — and I’m still shocked it didn’t win the Grammy for Song of the Year last year. This was not a great rendition of this song — it seemed like he was racing to keep up with it. Marty tore this song up last year. This was maybe a 6 1/2 or 7. I don’t know what the original song was about, but it was very Supernova — his energy, it worked. The only original song that rocked on it’s own, whatever it was about. It would certainly fit in with a Hey hey hey and a ho ho ho, ya know?
Who knew the show was Toby’s to lose?
My bottom 3? Well, I guess Magni, Lukas and Storm/Dilana. Everyone but Toby, I’m thinking. Sheesh!
An aside about Big Brother 7. Holy shit batman! Janelle got some balls and ousted Will! Yeah!!! The look of shock and the way that Boogie’s mouth was hanging open was PERFECT!
Now, had that been me and Erika? When I ousted Will I would have jumped up and shouted, "Hos & Bitches before Bros!" and the started giving Janelle high fives! What comes around goes around. I hated Boogie — sleeping with Erika to win. Doesn’t that make him a Ho?
But that’s just me. 😉
RYN:as if that would be an oddity in OUR family. Stranger-still would be if I were right.

ryn: I think suri is pretty but she doesn’t look anything like Tom. She looks like Katie. I don’t think she’s Tom’s. I also think she looks closer to 6 months old…
