RockStar: SuperNova Week 11

Ryan did a good version of his original, and he got a good haircut — he looked much better.
 
First, why do they have to sing the same originals they already sang?  So the ones that were good already showed that they’re good, and the ones that aren’t so good will suck?  It would be nice to give them a chance to show something different.
 
Toby — Karma Police — What a great song to get.  Part of Thom’s appeal is his sensitive, flawed voice, so Toby’s version was stronger in that regard.  Thom’s version has a sinister quality that was lacking in Toby’s version.  I guess if I had never heard the original, I would have liked this better.  But he sang it competently.  A A bit weak in a couple of places.  This is such a sensitive song, and Toby is more of a balls out singer — so gee. 
 
    — Chemical Dreaming — We already know it’s a catchy sing-along, and the crowd can get into it.  I can’t help but think they’re trying to reinforce that and make him overshadow the others.  I can definitely see him now more than I did before alongside these guys.  He’s got the high energy to front the band.  This is a no brainer, because I think this is who these guys are.
 
Lukas – Fix You — Pretty eye makeup, for a girl.  Ok, now Lukas has something that Toby lacks, and that’s sensitivity.  Lukas can be annoying, but he’s more interesting than Toby.  He’s opening his throat finally.  I would personally get tired of watching the staggering around the stage — it gets old very quickly, like about 6 weeks ago.  But I think he’s much more listenable. 
 
    — Head Spin — I liked this song faster, but it was interesting slower.  I see a giant step forward in maturity of performance tonight.  I don’t quite feel that he’s who this band is — I mean, I don’t get a lot of sensitivity out of Tommy Lee, you know?  But with Lukas, they would be a far more interesting band.
 
Dilana — Roxanne — I really hate this song.  That said, that was great!!!  It’s the first time I actually like it. 
 
    — Super Soul — Well, we already know she’s stuck with the worst original.  She should have at least re-worked the tune of the chorus, put more range in the notes.  But the song is grounded in low notes and it drags it down.  Unfortunately she didn’t generate the energy that Toby did, and that brings her performance down.  But I think she clearly has the best rock voice of the 4.
 
Magni — Hush — Oh great choice!  But is he missing some notes there in the beginning?  Maybe Deep Purple stressed some of the notes more?  This was ok.  Not my favorite.
 
    — When the Time Comes — No better or worse than Dilana’s original.
 
My feeling is Magni should go home, and leave the battle to the other 3.  
 
I think Toby will win.  I don’t think they have the balls to take on Dilana.  Lukas would be a good second choice for me, but I think Toby is one of them.
 
 
It’s time to get your online voting groove on and vote for DILANA!!!  Otherwise she’s toast.

Although I was a little pissy Boogie won BB All Stars, I understand why he did.  Erika completely farking blew it answering their questions and in her final plea.  Stupid idiot.  I also thought CBS was complete wrong to play Boogie’s clips calling her a HO on live TV.  That was so wrong.
