It’s a blustery, overcast day here near the shore. As it’s been for the entire spring season so far. My plans for today were to go to church, maybe sneak some breakfast at Mildred’s in with b Unit (beloved husband’s nickname for the day). Then come home, string up el hammock and take the boys outside in the yard while I did my laundry and read the new Cosmopolitan.

That’s not exactly how its turned out.

I didn’t wake up in time for Church (uht oh) and b Unit was called in early to work. *sigh* The restaurant did $32k last night alone!! Niiice. There’s another game today at 2:00 PM so he had to go in early to prep. I missed going to services this morning and taking eucharist…I hate not having the car sometimes…uhmumph…

We did get to go to Mildred’s for breakfast together. I tried the new special — honey raisin wheat french toast — this morning. Eh. I also learned something new about this retaurant we’ve been going to for almost 3-years now. Jan has frikken banana pancakes on the menu?!?! 3 years and I haven’t noticed it?!?! Gah!! I was just asking b Unit if I brought in a banana if he thought Jan would make them for me. They’re my absolute FAVORITE…ohhhh, and topped with like candied walnuts or pecans…*drool* … *shakes self* yeah, so come to find out they’ve been there the whole time!?!? I so wanted to reorder breakfast, especially since I didn’t really like the honey raisin wheat french toast so much. We didn’t have time though…b Unit had to get to work.

My laundry IS being done as I type. I have to get off my fat arse soon and go down to rotate the loads.

As I looked out the window in response to Lucky’s barking, I noticed there’s a faint glimmer of what just might be the sun! Could it be? *rubs eyes*

I think I drank too much coffee, she says as she takes another gulp of leftover coffee from breakfast. I feel as if I am buzzing inside. Woa…kewl.

So where was I? Oh. I need to get up to rotate the laundry. Riiight…but first…perhaps just one game of Literati.

I’m sorry you missed church. I always feel empty. Can you go to daily service tomorrow? *HUGS* RYN: Thanks. =)

If were not addicted to one game..its another. Isn’t it? lol Those pancakes do sound good. I love Banana bread.

Ooooh, I forgot to say: last night while settling down for the night, you could smell a lite smell of “skunk”. Then it hit me why you might like that smell. I remember the days when B use to smoke a joint or two. Some days he and his buddies would have the real green sticky stuff…kind of smelt like a “skunk”. Is that why?

RYN: They’re just over 13 months apart. Since Alex was about 2, though, we’ve always had to answer that question. Today, they’re only 1/4 of an inch apart in height and a few pounds in weight. It’s amazing.
