Happy Things

Things haven’t been all doom and gloom here in Tinatown.

The weekend after we came back from Georgia, we went to a water park with Mandi and Ken.  Lily played in the kiddie area.  We hit a few water rides.  It was fun for a while, but this particular park didn’t have a ton of options as far as things to do.

Melanie came to visit the following week.  We went to the Domes, the zoo, Chuck E Cheese.  Just kind of did whatever.

The night I wrote my last entry, I did finally cry.  Brett and I were going to sleep and I started crying.  We talked a bit and I felt a lot better.  I’ve been feeling better in general.  I stayed home yesterday and sent Lily to day care.  I spent the day cleaning.  It is so nice to have a clean apartment again.  Mandi got off work early and we went to lunch.  That was really nice, too.

Today, Brett and I went to JCP because Melanie told me their bathing suits are on sale.  I didn’t get a bathing suit, but Brett bought me a gorgeous blue polka dot dress and a really cute turquoise pencil skirt and top.  They were on clearance, so I can be okay that we didn’t pay thrift store prices on them.  I do feel really good in them, though.

My poor Lily-stink is sick.  She’s got a bad fever diarrhea and a super runny nose.  And she’s teething to top it off.  Most of the time, she’s still happy Lily, but there are times that she just flips the fuck out for no real reason.  I’m trying not to pump her full of Tylenol, so I just wait until she flips before I give her anything.  It’s been working out okay.
