loss

when you loose someone

you are left with a hole

you never believe will be filled again

it is a constant pain, an emptiness

that you didn’t expect

the intensity of trying to move on

knowing you left something behind,

that you can never have back

that pain and thought bring you to your knees

and you can;t go forward

every step reinforces the understanding

that person is gone

never to be a part of your life again

you don’t want to accept it

so you live in denial

haunted every night by dreams

the tease and taunt you with that persons face

and you dont move on

but everyone and everything

around you goes on without you

your world goes black

everything you do seems like

there is someone else directing your movements

your a puppet on a string

never living, just going through the movements

then one day

you wake up from this zombie like state

and you realize, that in your misery

you have lost more than one

you have lost everyone

for everyone went on

they went on with life without you

and you realize

that you are truly

empty

and alone

and you will never be whole again
