 Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am off to a family Thanksgiving, a rarity in my life in the past, but a happy one now.

Ya know, my Japanese wife wanted to give me an American Holiday meal in Japan in 1986.  Turkeys are uncommon food in Japan, but she did find a ten pound bird and some of "the fixins".

Big points for effort, even if the execution left something to be desired.

Today’s meal will be fixed by my cousin’s wife’s mom – it’ll all be there – bird, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pies, cranberries in all forms.

And family.

In 2007, I didn’t have anywhere to go and Thankgiving consisted of a turkey pot pie by Matie Calendar and a bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon whisky.

THAT one left a lot to be desired.

Today, I’m thankful for a real family Thanksgiving… and for you, my OD readers.
