Almost there…

 Winter Solstice begins at nine-ish tonight – Winter is almost here.

Couldn’t really tell, around here – it is, so far, The Driest December Ever in Portland.  We have not seen much of any rain – unusual, because December is one of the wettest months, usually.  Supposedly, we’re in a La Nina weather year, and the wind flows off the Pacific are splitting around Portland and going north or south.

I guess I don’t mind.

Christmas is almost here too.  I know there’s a package waiting for me down in the office.  It came yesterday, but I slept in almost all day.  (Ah, the office closed at Noon – hafta wait till tomorrow) Depression will do that to you.  Unemployment is doing their "Investigation" and I have to hope it comes through, but I’m going towards pessimissism so that if that happens, I’ll be prepared.

Writing that and looking at what I’ve written, I see that car payment day was yesterday – 10 day grace period, so it’s not late, and I guess I’ll go write a check for that.  I have to go get some more insulin syringes for Blacky Cat anyway.

The fog is clearing and it’s getting bright out there.  Got all depressed yesterday and didn’t do much of anything.  I went over to A’s house last night for Movie Night, but I didn’t fancy the movie he got – some boxing flick, so I didn’t stay.  I was going to come home and watch "Grimm" online, but never got to it – just read online and went to bed at 4-ish.

(Oh, now I remember!  I spent a couple of hours last night updating my GPS maps – that takes HOURS, even on cable internet.  Got 2 GPS’s now – the one I bought last year became my "work" GPS and I bought a wide-screen GPS for my car)

Haven’t felt really "creative" lately – no new words or photographs to post.
