It was in some ways the perfect relationship. I love to drive and she likes to ride. I met her in 1981; we got married in 1984. We lived here twice and there in Japan twice; she says we didn’t do Daily Life very well; we got divorced in 1995.
(some say that if you can drive cross country and not kill each other, y’all oughta get married. I’m here to say it don’t always work that way)
She’s Japanese and lives there now; she comes to see me every summer (except: in 2008 her father was dying of cancer and she stayed there to stay with him as much as she could). She’s always been good at taking pictures; these are from her 2007 visit:

Maybe she’s right – we always had good roadtrips.

As a matter of fact, there are a lot of roads in Oregon that lead to Beautiful places:

took a roadtrip today as a matter of fact – 248.2 miles at a fifty mile an hour average; four and a half hours. Got 296 miles out of those 9.7 gallons -27.7 mpg. One time, driving to Bremerton and back, I got 340 miles out of that tank of gas. I like my Caliber; I like driving… three dollar a gallon gas is gonna suck.
