It’s on (edit)

It’s on – I’m going to Stonehenge today.

In fact, I have to stop and pick up the woman going with me.

Not there.  No answer to the phone.

There’s a story there, but I have to get in the shower and get ready to go.

I went by myself, about 250 miles and an as yet unknown number of pictures taken (later:255).

I did go to Stonehenge – it’s about an hour and a half east of Portland.  I drove out on the Interstate, and was thinking about going back on WA 14… but I’ve done that drive recently, so I went south, back into Oregon, and made my way past and over Mt. Hood. It was a very good drive… but I need a nap – it’s 4:40 pm and I got up at 6:30 to make this trip.  I was supposed to get my guest at her place.  I called half an hour to 8, the meeting time, and kept calling until 8:30 and said "fuck it, I’m going".

About an hour after I reached Sonehenge (almost three hours later), the phone rang – "sorry!  I overslept!". 

(ya know that saying, "ya snooze ya loose"?  True.)

Heh.  Maybe next time.
