My Blacky Cat

 Blacky has seemed kind of… well, not sick, exactly, but not well either.  He has been staying in "his" box in my closet. It’s MY box, really, but you know cats – it’s HIS now.  I pulled it out the other day to see what’s in the box – I was afraid it was some of my prints (oh, I guess I have time to scan some now), so I pulled the box out and looked, but there aren’t photo prints in it – it’s old mail and address books and misc. stuff.  I took one of my older towels and laid it out in the box, after waving the vaccum nozzle over it, so now he has a more comfy place to lie.

He hasn’t been eating well, I don’t think, so I made a special trip to the grocery store to get him some of his favorite kitty snacks.  I planted several pots of grass out on the balconey for him a couple of years ago, but with the freezing cold going on now, I haven’t wanted to keep the balcony door open as much (although it is open now_ fresh air).  I felt soo smart last week – I brought in one of the pots – grass, in the house!  I trade them out every few days, so they have sunlight and outdoor air.

He’ll be 12 in April – I’ve had him a long time, and while his last exam numbers were, in the vet’s words "perfect", he still hasn’t seemed "well" the last few days.  I hope I’m not putting off some kind of "oh shit, I don’t have a job!" vibe or something that he’s picking up on… and I hope he gets better soon.

I should get off this chair at the computer, go sit on the couch, and bring him up there to sit with me.
