New camera 3

I put about 87 miles on the car today, in a nice smooth cruise into and out of the Gorge.

I stopped at The Vista House on Crown Point:

Looking east into the Gorge:

After editing, these pics plump up to 12 -15 Mg – big files.  Straight out of the camera, these are running 6.7 Mg.

Nice colors….

This camera does make trees look good…

Here’s what I mean about this camera and blue:

There was a lot of blue in this pic before I edited it, and as you can see, there is still a lot of blue in this pic.

Going back to Portland, I stopped at Dalton Point, westbound on I-84:

Hmmm.  I really like the vibrance of the colors in this pic.

Hmmm.

Nice colors, anyway.

Practise practise practise.

Good pics, lovely scenery and looks like you had a really good day out. Best, A

Keep playing with the settings, the camera will have various option of white balance etc…you’ll work it out. Look up tutorials on the net for it… Bound to be heaps of them… G~

Very good. Like old friends through new eyes.

Pretty! It was beautiful this weekend; I wasn’t expecting it after the way it dumped rain on us Thursday and Friday, at last down in this part of the valley.

Nice, sharp foreground in the parking lot scenes.

The top photo is good. I don’t know about you, but I shoot lots of photos and reject lots of photos. A good return would be 20% of what I shot.
