One good picture
On our trip up to the top of Multnomah Falls, I filled my camera’s memory card. I had never done that before. In my series of pics, "Bottom to top, let’s go!" we are about two thirds of the way up, and I have some more good pictures to show off.
However, I am just posting one picture here. I think this is an interesting picture, and hope you will too. I am on my break between bus runs; I am now a for-real employee of the school district. I have been given a mailbox, a radio, and an appointment to get figerprinted and have a Criminal History Verification done. I am this close to solo-ing my bus runs.
No problem there, I have no Criminal History, except for getting drunk and stupid in my car and crashing the poor thing in 1998. That’s barely on my otherwise virgin driving record. Yup, 28 years of driving and only a few blemishes, nearly all from that one dumb night. No speeding tickets ever, and only two moving violations, DUII and No Insurance.
You and I all know that I have been fortunate in avoiding the law’s close scrutiny, and I intend to and will keep it that way.
All of this text is things I’ve wanted to say to you, and, it gets that one good picture on the screen for you.
Oregon’s history is one of wood. Lumber is no longer the state’s claim to fame, but it was once. Trees have always been big here, in more than one way. Here is the bole of a tree that just cried out "take my picture!", so I did, and here it is:

Stay tuned please, I have a lot to say. Errr, umm, write. Whatever. Good stuff coming, stay tuned.

Nicely done. I love boles of trees. We have many on the various types of spruce trees here in Alaska. I’ll stay tuned.
