Got an invite for Thanksgiving dinner with my cigar buddy at the barn.

And here I thought I’d be all lonely and shit.
He says his family is "kinda weird, but puts on a good feast". Maybe I’ll fit right in.
I have to deliver the Thursday papers this week, or at least help out; there will be too many and they’ll be too fat for one guy to handle by himself, so I volunteered to help out. The papers will be the size of Sunday papers, full of "Black Friday" ads. Many of our stops are getting many more than a usual Thursday too.
It will pay the same as the Sunday Final.
Last year they gave us a projected loading time of 12:30am, but it was after 2:30am when we got the papers. This year’s loading time is probably more realistic: 3:58 am.
I dunno why they didn’t just say "4".
I should be done before sunrise though, and will have plenty of time to nap before I go over to my buddy’s house at 1:30pm.
Beats sitting alone with my cat and a bottle of Wild Turkey!
(Although…Blacky Cat LOVES turkey. I should get some just for him)

Oh yeah – I got my 25 bus back this morning; the red load lights work like they should. I didn’t hear one word about the thing on the tape the other day, and talking to other drivers, no one thought it was that big a deal.
I will be careful what I say though – never know who’s listening, do I?
