Sylverling has written here on Open Diary for a long time.  Last count I saw was 879 entries from when she began as a high school student in 1999.

I challenge you to be a tourist in "your" town, Madison.  You’ve recently moved there yourself, and perhaps look down upon where you are now,  I challenge to to look around, maybe snap some pics, and tell us about Madison, WI.

3.  A color I associate with you is blue.  Yeah, a bit because your diary sometimes has the blues written in it (don’t ours all) but mostly because I associate blue with the infinite sky.  You’ve done well to get where you are and have the limitless sky as your bounds to further success.  You are the blue of infinite possibility.

4.  Something I like about you, besides your good notes and good reponse to flirty notes, is that you write clearly.  Some thought goes into what you write here, whether it’s an entry of your own or a note you’ve left on someone’s diary, whose readership we share.

5.  My earliest note from you:

i’ve been writing on open diary since early 1999. as i’m only 22 and have the attention span of a gnat, this is an achievement, i think. as for friends only…well. too many flamers. too many people who leave nasty meaningless notes. my diary is visible to members only; many entries favorites only. it’s not because i’m elitist; it’s protection. Well, obviously some of that note was less than true – your attention span has been real good with my diary, and of course, that’s always worth lots of points, cuz I’m a vain Cat.  I like that you’ve left me hundreds of meaningful notes.  Thanks.

6.  You remind me of this animal:

  I want to say that you remind me of an ermine, those sleek, sinuous animals.  However, upon further reflection, the ermine is actually a nasty little creature who’s hell on it’s prey, and I don’t think that’s you.  An independant furry little creature of some non-defined species is the animal that comes to mind – curious, adventurous, but happy to have a stable defined world.  (hmm)
