Very glad
I am very glad I did not drive downtown today. VocRehab set me up with an eye appointment; it’s been almost four years since I got new glasses.
I took the bus (2, actually) to get downtown. That 1/2 inch of snow they were predicting last night did not fall – or at least, not where I was, so busing it seemed like the best idea – I don’t have to park a bus downtown (anymore).
They put drops in my eyes to dialate them and to dye them to see whatever they look for, and right now, I can barely see the keyboard and the words on the monitor are incomprehensible. Maybe the spell checker will catch most of the mistakes.
My monitors don’t usually flicker either…I can’t see well enough to type, let alone DRIVE.
Got a card from South Dakota today. I didn’t buy any to send myself – these are desperate days and Unemployment ends for me and millions of other people on the 29th, so I saved the change that stamps cost and didn’t buy a box of Christmas cards this year.
I can’t read this at all. I wonder how it looks?
It would be a real drag if my eyes don’t improve.

It looks just fine. Hope your eyes are OK.

I hate that eye dilating thing. Did they give you sunglasses? I trust you’ll be seeing better soon. Don’t worry about the cards. Your wishes come across the internet just fine. I’m cardless this year too.

It looks fine from here!

I never send cards. I hate the eye doctor, too. Especially that thing they do where they blow air onto your eyeball. Ugh. I need to go, but I hate that test.

The last time I went to the eye doctor, I had all of that done for the first time. And I drove. It was a crazy experience.
