work!
No work last week, although Friday did turn out to be payday. I "knew" there was very little in the checking account and was kind of afraid to look. I steeled myself up for it and looked, on Saturday, and was very pleasantly surprised to see way more money in the account than I thought there was.
A very nice surprise – I am earning money again, and I guess I really do have a job.

I have gone back to my vampire hours – stay up all night, sleep most of the day away, and weeks go by in blur. It’s still July, isn’t it?
I went to bed this morning around 8 am, having set the alarm for noon, because I had to drive downtown and cash that Euro Travelers Check from Japan at the main office of my bank. Me and the Foreign Exchange girl are developing a "relationship", ha ha.
(She’s always dressed in color-coordinated clothing, which I always make sure to compliment – that effort should never be un-noticed, eh?)

The dollar is down, so that 200 Euros was actually 256 and some change and now I can pay some of the bills a little bit and get another month of car insurance.

I missed a phone call at about 11 – I turned the phone down so it wouldn’t disturb me, but the call was from Mentor Oregon, wanting to know if – "sorry for the short notice!" – I could drive out to Cornelius to spend some time with the girl I met the week before. AND the other girl who’s living in that house: apparently, another LST was working with them had abruptly quit this morning. The message was, "can you work today from 12:30?" and since it was already 12:20, I declined for today, but now am scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:45 – 5:00, with travel time included – most likely, 7 hours a day on the clock and a bigger paycheck next time.
I guess they got that Background Investigation completed – I was never worried about that; I’ve been a Good Boy most of my life.

It looks like I’m "back to work", finally.
Time for a nap. Gotta rest up for work, ya know?
