Photos, and lots of them.

These are just some photos taken on our trip. I’ll have to do a few entries as I have many still to go through.
This is taken from where we stayed with my cousins in Fife, Scotland, looking over the Firth of Forth.

Pandemonium at the Arc de Triomphe. How can they drive here with no lane markings?

Berlin.

Actual point where visitors crossed into East Berlin from the West. This was in the Palace of Tears, so called because of the tears shed when people had to say goodbye to relatives.

Site of the Nazi book burning.

Book burning memorial at Bebelplatz. These are empty subterranean bookshelves which could hold the 20,000 books that were burned. Not a good photo because of the reflections, but you can see the shelves.

Behind the sign was Hitler’s bunker, which is still buried there.

That’s it for tonight. More in the next entry.

Wonderful pictures. I’ve been watching part of the golf tournament in Scotland and the course is so dry and brown. It surprised me. I marvel at all the centuries old buildings that are still used. Beautiful.

Gorgeous shots! The tide really recedes at the beach at St. Andrews. I say we live in the Palace of Scones. We’ll eat well. 🙂 RYN: Thanks. It’ll work out, one way or another.

Love the old buildings. Canada is so young, comparatively, and we don’t have such wonderful architecture. Our ‘old’ buildings would be teens to the people who live in the area in your photos.

Great! Looks like you had better weather than we did, and got around a lot too. I look forward to seeing more photos. Eventually I will get around to putting some of mine on here, but first I need to sort the blog I did. Fabulous Scottish beaches.

Lots of familiar places!

I just get lost in these pictures. So much history! RYN: Roy is also a favorite, but Linda’s music is more versatile, I think.
