Indigestion Into Next Week
I didn’t do much this weekend, which is not unusual for me. I worked yesterday, as I do. The weekend proved to be especially cold for this time of year, though I understand that temperatures are going to become increasingly warm as the new week progresses. It could prove to be time to get that air conditioning unit up and running. Typically, I’ve been able to avoid using the air conditioner until the end of May, so maybe I’ll be about a week early in getting it going this year. Based on previous years’ experience, the heat will run through September, so I’m already of the mindset that the summer could arrive as early as this week. We shall see.
I don’t know what I ate last night, but it got me good, because the resulting pain and discomfort interrupted my sleep and ruined most of my morning, starting at about 2am. The antacid I took at 2:20am definitely helped, though I will admit that my sleep was fragmented and hardly quality. I found myself napping for much of the day today, which is something I rarely do. I suppose I’m glad that this happened during the weekend and not during the workweek. It’s been several years since I’ve allowed a digestive problem to keep me from getting to work and I’d really hate to see a stomach flu, stomach virus, or even some intense indigestion prevent me from going to work. So, in this regard, last night’s digestive challenges may have stricken me at a decent time. Having said, believe that I’ll be in the office tomorrow morning at my usual 4:45am. I just need to get my rest tonight, which I intend to do.
Gaming remains slow. I haven’t played much of anything these past few days. I have a few releases on the horizon, but nothing that I would consider to be top-notch. I want to say that one of those soon-to-be-released games is the hack and slash title, Blades of Fire, I want to say. I believe that’s the name of the game. I think this is one of those “under the radar” type games, which I’m willing to try and I’m willing to support the folks making and producing the game just by buying the game outright. Why not? I’ve got a spare 60$ lying around. The way I see it, if your company isn’t making woke games and is actually contributing to what gaming used to be and should be, I’m definitely willing to support you and I’ll open my wallet to do it.
We’ll see what happens this coming week. As tends to be the case of late, I am not hopeful.
There is a chance that I keep to myself at work, as I make deliberate efforts to avoid helping certain people.
We’ll see how that goes, I guess.
