Blogathon # 37: Green Day…

One of my favorite bands, and one of Leah’s favs too. I’ve loved this band since the very, very beginning. And I’ve even had the honor to see them live in concert as well. It was a private concert that was held at our Univeristy. It was one of those ‘win to get in’ concerts hosted by Molson. That means not only did we get to see a killer band, but there was only 500 privately invited guests, and we had FREE BAR to boot!

Leah was a little peeved cause I only got one ticket for the show. And since it was given out because of my status on the student council (I was an elected student rep), my name was on the list and I couldn’t give my ticket away, even if I wanted to give it to her. So that weekend she went home to visit her family and I went to see Green Day and get completely trashed!

I only remember some of the concert, and I remember partying with the band afterwards. They actually trashed the room we had left for them to hang out in… and I’m talking thousands of dollars in damage. I don’t remember half the concert… yeah, I got that trashed. Wouldn’t you if it was a free bar?

It was a night I’ll remember, well what parts I can remember. It was a great show and if I had a chance I’d see them again. Here are a few of my favorite Green Day tunes. Take care and see ya in 30!
