Blogathon # 8: For my fellow bloggers…

Time Posted: 12:30pm EST

This event is going along faster than I thought it would. We’re already 3 hours into the Blogathon! This is going fast and furious… and I’m already feeling the pressure to keep posting and what not.

But I’m not the only one here blogging for a good cause. There are some other amazing diaries that are working just as hard to raise money for a great cause. If you get a moment, check them out and show support for your fellow OD’ers who are blogging their asses off today:

Make-A-Wish Blogger
(This blogger is writing for Make-A-Wish Foundation, and is experiencing some big time OD technical problems.
Drop by and show her some love cause she’s posting some great entries!)

Gylanne
(Blogging for Children’s Cancer Society)

Drulen
(Blogging for United Cerebral Palsy)

Sezura
(Blogging for Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia)

C.R.C
(Blogging for ‘Love Our Children: Break The Cycle Of Child Abuse’)

Tiny Void
(Blogging for the American Heart Association)

parenthetical
(Blogging for Amnesty International)

I’m sure there are many more that I have left out, but the fact is Open Diary is out there and making things happen this year like we have years before! I’d like to thank the DM for making the Blogathon Circle available cause that makes it easier for us to check up on the other ODers when the update… of course, when it works.

The reason why I post this is cause this is the best thing about the blogathon. Meeting new people on your own site and chatting up and noting them all night as we all write our asses off for a good cause. Half the people that I chatting up with all night two years ago I still talk to and note all the time. This is a great thing and one reason why I love doing this event.

So to my fellow bloggers, I dedicate this entry to you. Keep writing and don’t give up on us or our great charities. When your head hits the pillow tomorrow morning, you will have the best sleep of your life… and you’ll sleep very well knowing you made a difference.

See you all in 30!

Peter
